Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Inside Sales Representative role based in Troy, MI. The Inside Sales Representative will manage incoming customer inquiries, prepare quotes, and process orders for steel and aluminum products. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining customer relationships, following up on leads, and supporting account growth through proactive outreach. The role involves collaborating with operations and logistics teams to confirm product availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.

The Inside Sales Representative will also maintain accurate records in the sales system, track open quotes, and support overall customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications
  • Proven Inside Sales experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment, preferably metals or related products.
  • Ability to drive Customer Satisfaction and deliver responsive, solutions-oriented Customer Service.
  • Experience with Lead Generation activities, including prospecting, follow-up, and qualification of new opportunities.
  • Strong Account Management skills, including relationship building, retention, and growth of existing customers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical product information clearly.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, order entry software, and basic office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple quotes and orders simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and contribute to shared sales goals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with steel, metals, or industrial materials is preferred but not required; willingness to learn product lines is essential.
