This is a full‑time, on‑site Automotive Steel Sales role based in Troy, MI. The individual in this position will manage and grow relationships with automotive OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, promoting POSCO’s steel products and solutions to meet customer needs. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include developing sales strategies, preparing proposals and quotations, negotiating contracts, and monitoring market trends and competitor activities in the automotive steel sector.
The role also involves coordinating with internal teams on supply chain, logistics, and product availability, and ensuring timely delivery and high service levels. The Automotive Steel Sales professional will prepare regular reports, maintain CRM data, participate in global and regional meetings, and support new business development initiatives across North America.
- Conduct in‑depth market research and competitive analysis to identify new growth opportunities.
- Coordinate cross‑functionally and internationally to manage stable pipeline.
- Monitor KPIs and provide analytical insights to ensure alignment with corporate strategy.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and governance standards.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
- Strong analytical capability with steel market and auto‑industries.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and structured thinking ability.
Preferred:
- Experience in automotive OEM, Tier X as steel purchasing.
- Experience with carbon steel steel/electrical steel sales or engineering.
- Experience in global or cross‑border environments.
