This full-time, on-site Sales Professional role is based in Troy, MI. The Sales Professional will build and manage a book of business by identifying prospects, conducting consultations, and recommending insurance and financial products that meet the needs of individuals, families, and businesses. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating leads, following up on inquiries, preparing quotes, presenting proposals, and closing sales while providing a high level of customer service.
The role involves conducting policy reviews, assisting clients with changes and renewals, and coordinating with underwriting and service teams to ensure accurate and timely processing. The Sales Professional will also participate in community and networking activities, maintain accurate records in CRM systems, and stay current on product offerings, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated sales and business development skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing new business.
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and client retention abilities focused on understanding and meeting client needs.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication and confident presentation abilities.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple accounts, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Comfort with technology and tools such as CRM systems, email, virtual meeting platforms, and basic office software.
- Ability to learn and apply insurance concepts, product features, and regulatory requirements; prior insurance or financial services experience is beneficial.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented approach with a willingness to engage in community outreach and networking activities.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, and commitment to serving the people of Michigan.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel; ability to work on-site in Troy, MI.
- Relevant state insurance licenses (or ability to obtain), and a high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
