Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Access Control in Van Buren Twp, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and security-related operations.
This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values.

- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and direct delivery drivers, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
- Prepare accurate reports, complete required activity logs, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
