Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker/Family Services Liaison to join our team at Reed City High School. This full‑time position is designed for an individual who is committed to supporting the emotional and social well‑being of students and their families. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and community resources to promote a positive school environment and enhance student success.

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to identify students in need of support and develop intervention strategies.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to students and families in times of need.
• Facilitate communication between the school and families to promote student engagement and academic success.
• Connect families with community resources, including mental health services, housing assistance, and financial support.
• Develop and implement programs and workshops aimed at enhancing student and family well‑being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and services provided.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and coordinate services.
• Advocate for students’ needs within the school system and the community.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in social work and family services.

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as a social worker (LMSW or LCSW preferred).
• Experience working with adolescents and families, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of social, emotional, and behavioral issues affecting students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals, including students, parents, and school staff.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of community resources and services available to families.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, as needed for family engagement activities.
