At Wellspring Lutheran Services, we're looking for Social Workers who are passionate about helping children and families achieve positive outcomes through relationship-based, strength-focused services.

Whether you're supporting family preservation efforts, helping families work toward reunification, guiding foster families through licensing, coordinating foster care services, or connecting families with resources that help them succeed, you'll play an important role in creating safer, stronger communities throughout Michigan.

Most importantly, you'll help children and families build the skills, support systems, and confidence they need to create brighter futures.

You'll build meaningful relationships with children, parents, caregivers, foster families, and community partners while serving as a trusted source of guidance, support, and advocacy.

You'll help families identify strengths, overcome barriers, and work toward goals that promote safety, stability, permanency, and well-being.

You'll provide education, coaching, case management, resource coordination, and support services tailored to each family's unique needs and circumstances.

You'll work alongside children and caregivers to strengthen parenting skills, improve family relationships, enhance protective factors, and create safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.

You'll collaborate with schools, courts, healthcare providers, foster families, community agencies, child welfare professionals, and other service providers to help families access the resources and support they need.

You'll conduct assessments, home visits, documentation, service planning, and ongoing monitoring while helping ensure services remain focused on the best interests of children and families.

You'll advocate for children and families while helping coordinate services that support long-term success and positive outcomes.

Some days you'll be meeting with a family in their home, helping a parent develop new skills, facilitating connections to community resources, conducting a foster home visit, attending a school meeting, participating in court-related activities, or celebrating progress toward reunification, stability, or permanency.

Other days you'll be helping a child navigate challenges, supporting a foster family, coordinating services, developing plans with caregivers, or helping a family recognize strengths they may not yet see in themselves.
