Associate Material Coordinator

Overview

Performs a variety of duties involved in equipment, materials, linens and supplies for an assigned area. Tasks may include inventory, inventory selection, stocking, receiving and delivering to ensure supplies and materials are readily available at various locations. Utilizes computer-based inventory management system to perform daily functions. Works closely with other team members from supply chain and staff throughout the system to provide exceptional care for our customers.

• Responds to incoming requisitions received via fax, intranet, hardcopy and telephone from various customers by dispensing inventory supplies and equipment in a timely manner, or orders equipment/supplies from third party vendor. Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains inventory levels of supplies, materials, equipment and/or linens. Rotates stock, cleans and straightens up products to assure a neat and orderly appearance of inventory location and work area.
• Uses a handheld computer or other methods to manage inventory. Transmits or inputs information to main computer system to record accurate inventory levels.
• Breaks down delivery carts and/or pallets and assembles orders to be delivered to requesting unit.
• Delivers products and/or equipment to requesting location following proper delivery techniques and safety guidelines.
• Removes soiled linen and/or products from nursing units to designated holding area following universal safety precautions.
• Packs products in totes, boxes, pallets, or carts according to proper packing techniques for delivery. Labels and places delivery orders in assigned area for shipping or delivery.
• Loads, unloads and secures heavy cargo for delivery vehicles. May require the use of a forklift or pallet jack. Places delivery carts, pallets, totes, or boxes in assigned area. Unpacks and checks delivery against purchase order. Reports damaged boxes/products or discrepancies. Inputs purchase order and delivery ticket information into computer to maintain accurate records. Ensures paperwork and signatures are completed and filed.

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

• Successful completion of orientation and introductory period.
• Supply chain/material management or related experience.
• CRT-HI-LO Certification.
