You will be responsible for processing all returns and warranties from the dealerships and the warehouse. You will also be responsible for determining if the returned goods are good, damaged, or missing components.
Salary Overview: The pay rate for this role starts at $22 per hour based on experience.
Hours: The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 6am to 4pm.
Returns Associate Responsibilities- Receive and scan customer returns.
- Inspect the returns for any signs of damage or missing components.
- File warranty claims with vendors if the goods are damaged or defective.
- Receive replacement warrantied parts for restocking.
- Return good items to inventory.
- Document damaged items and decide whether it is eligible for manufacturer warranty or refund.
- Determine if the missing components need to be returned to the manufacturer.
- Communicate with vendors to determine resolution on goods.
- Maintain records of warranties and returns.
- Create credit returns to dealers.
- Answer emails efficiently.
- Sweep and clean isles in the returns area to keep a safe environment.
- Lift returns consistently.
- Practice powered industrial equipment safety as well as general dock safety.
- Cross-train for other roles within the warehouse to maximize the efficiency of the team.
- Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- High School Diploma.
- At least 5 years of warehouse experience.
- Ability to pass the drug screen and background check.
- Consistent work history and attendance record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to adapt and learn new technologies.
- Ability to perform repetitive actions for extended periods.
- Must be able to work independently and in teams.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be attentive to details.
- Forklift, part picker, and powered pallet jack experience are preferred.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day.
- Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 100 lbs.
- Use a forklift or pallet jack as needed.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- 50% of the time you will be standing or walking while working, 10% of the time you will be sitting while working, 10% of the time you will be pulling and pushing, and 30% of the time you will be lifting returns.
