Talent Manager, Employee Relations, HR Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Responsible for the delivery of a full range of human resource services to internal and external customers using best practices to achieve high performance. The Human Resources Manager is a leader and an example of the company's Mission, Vision, and Values.

EmploymentProactively facilitates the recruitment and selection process of employees to ensure “on-time” staffing and high quality hires.
Responsibilities include:
source candidates, manage the internal posting process, conduct initial screening and interviewing of candidates; train, consult with and guide managers on the selection process, conduct new employee orientations, and manage the 90-day Follow up Interview process.
Participates in the development, recommendation and implementation of employee relations services and programs; advises managers on appropriate human resources procedures within company guidelines; interprets local, state and Federal laws and regulations relevant to human resources, ensures conformance; handles employee relations issues and takes appropriate actions to address and resolve; conducts investigations as a result of harassment or discrimination claims; provides consultation to managers regarding disciplinary actions;
assists with employee feedback systems.
Promotes equitable compensation practices consistent with Geeding Construction’s Salary Administration Program; advises managers on appropriate hiring rates; assists in the administration of the merit increase and salary range adjustment process; participates in local salary and wage surveys; discusses benefit enrollment and concerns, and contributes to the education of employees on all company benefits; and administer the benefits process.
Employee Communications & TrainingParticipates in the development of human resources communication materials regarding policy and procedures, recruitment, compensation, employee handbook, etc. Prepares materials for employee presentations and manager training and delivers such training.
Continuing EducationM… Maintains a current working knowledge of employment law and benefit issues; maintains contact with professional organizations and networks, establishes professional relationships with other HR professionals; participates in the planning and setting of HR objectives for the market.
DOT ComplianceWork closely with the Manager of DOT Compliance to assist in motor vehicle checks, DOT regulated physicals and compliance with all areas within DOT regulations. Handle the DOT random drug screening process which includes notification of selected employees and upkeep of the list of eligible employees through Pipeline Testing Consortium. Conduct all new hire DOT regulated background checks including safety / performance checks and drug / alcohol checks.
MinimumKnowledge & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in human resources management, business, education or communications (or related area). Lesser education plus related experience (5-7 yrs.) may be acceptable.
- Workshops or seminars on employment law, communications, and behavior/psychology.
- PHR/SPHR through the Human Resources Certification Institute is preferred
