Marksman Security Corporation is hiring immediately for Licensed Flex Security Officers!
Hiring for location
$18.50 per hour
Applicants must be available between mornings and evenings and holidays, if needed.
Must be able to respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice.
Hiring for multiple sites — full-time, part-time, and all shifts.
Previous experience in security or customer service fields is preferred.
Looking for passionate, skilled professionals to join our team. Must be reasonably physically fit and able to stand and walk for periods of time.
Security Officer rolesSecurity Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.
- Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior.
- Gatehouse: Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property.
- Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with courtesy, customer service, access control, monitor CCTV systems, announce visitors, distribute packages.
- Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
- Manage guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators when necessary
- Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
- Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of arrival
- Assist in protecting people and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
- Monitor and detect suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and other criminal activity
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
- Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
- Warn violators of infractions (e.g., loitering, smoking, possession of prohibited items)
- Respond to calls of distress, alarms and emergencies by contacting local first responders
- Identify and report safety or security concerns in a timely manner
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
- Ensure all rules/regulations are enforced
- Other duties to be determined by management
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- High school degree or equivalent
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience or security experience
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
- Physical ability to perform required duties (standing, walking, etc.)
