Auto Body Technician

• Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process
• Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status
• Perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind
• Decide whether to repair or replace, considering safety, cost, and cycle time
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access vehicles and fenders
• Participate in all required safety meetings
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
• Direct the work of an apprentice when needed, including explaining procedures and addressing unusual problems or questions

• Ability to use frame machine
• Certification in body repair preferred
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
• I-CAR welding certified
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
• Ability to supervise repair personnel
• Must be able to pass thorough background check

Demonstrates expertise in vehicle repair processes, including the ability to analyze measuring data and make informed decisions on repair versus replacement. Proficient in supervising repair personnel and ensuring quality repairs while adhering to safety standards.
