1st Choice Home Repair LLC is a growing remodeling company seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Remodeling Specialist to join our team. We specialize in accessibility-focused home remodeling, including ADA-compliant home modifications, one-day bathroom and shower installations, wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, porch lifts, and ceiling lift systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform residential remodeling work including carpentry, drywall installation and finishing, painting, trim work, and general construction tasks.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively, including drills, circular saws, reciprocating saws, and other construction equipment.
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical work related to remodeling projects.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
- Work on ladders and in confined spaces as required by project conditions.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities and mobility challenges.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 27 years of age.
- Extensive residential remodeling experience required.
- Strong carpentry skills and experience with drywall installation and finishing.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical systems.
- Technical or trade school education is preferred but not required.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, stay on task without constant direction, and also function effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background check
- Own basic hand tools required for daily job duties.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier materials with assistance when necessary.
