Safety and Compliance Coordinator

Trucking Times, Inc. one of the most respected privately owned trucking companies in the US is currently seeking a Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team. This position is based in our corporate office located in Troy, MO. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for safety compliance, loss prevention, safety training and ensuring a positive safety attitude and environment exists throughout the company.

• Safety Compliance including reporting HOS, People Net, and driver camera violations
• Knowledge with Samsara Systems is preferred
• Employee safety-related training
• Coordinate data for DOT audits and investigations
• Problem-solve issues with drivers and customers
• Filing and general administrative tasks
• Support with incident reporting and investigation; which includes but is not limited to accidents, near misses, property damage, and DOT reportable events
• Assist and support in discharging the company drug and alcohol program
• Assist with compliance of the driver’s hours of service regulations, including reviewing logs, log corrections, and informing drivers of disciplinary actions resulting from violations

• Ability to speak/train both small and large groups of employees
• Exceptional interpersonal, customer service and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and multi‑task
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the general public
• Must maintain confidentiality in daily operations
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and other regulatory compliance agencies is a plus
• Proven ability to present to both small and large audiences
• Knowledge of business office operations, filing, and administrative operations
• DOT compliance training will be provided; however, candidates with DOT Safety experience is a plus
• Candidates must possess a CAN DO attitude, have the ability to multi‑task and have above average computer skills
