Senior Associate Director of Advancement Services
The Senior Associate Director of Advancement Services manages the school's fundraising database and the full lifecycle of gift processing, from entry through acknowledgement and reporting. Through data integrity, thoughtful system enhancements, and management of the office's reporting needs, this role ensures the information infrastructure required to meet Advancement's constituency engagement and fundraising goals. The Senior Associate Director is an expert on our database system, currently Raiser's Edge NXT, and ensures advancement policies and procedures are followed as they relate to gifts and data — while also delivering the day-to-day accuracy, responsiveness, and stewardship that donors experience directly.

Specific Responsibilities• Manage the Advancement office's Raiser's Edge NXT database, ensuring data integrity, privacy compliance, and alignment with fundraising and engagement goals. This includes overseeing gift entry, acknowledgments, receipts, and maintaining tracking systems for consistent and accurate reporting.
• Manage the online giving process along with third-party and corporate gift matching programs, including submission of required documentation to companies and verification of matched gifts.
• Coordinate with Business Services to ensure proper tracking, documentation, and reconciliation of gifts in accordance with school and department standards.
• Understand and manage the advancement office's reporting and analysis needs, including research and implementation of software tools and/or database enhancements as necessary. This includes production of inter-departmental and external reports, lists, and dashboards; supporting stewardship and networking efforts; and compiling data for department projects and public surveys.
• Manage the development office's gift recording policies and, in partnership with Donor Relations & Stewardship, the gift acknowledgement process.
• Maintain data hygiene and ensure accurate constituent records, utilizing research tools to proactively append missing contact and biographical information.
• Provide broader administrative support to the Advancement office as needed, including assistance with mailings, donor stewardship, prospect research support, and event-related tasks.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Competencies• Associate's degree
• At least 5 years of experience managing fundraising databases.
• Expert knowledge of Raiser's Edge NXT, especially as it relates to gift processing, reporting, and data analysis.
• Detail-oriented, with high accuracy in recording data, financial reconciliation, and disseminating information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and make sound judgments.
• Proficient in cloud-based productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), data management systems, and modern collaboration platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Understanding and genuine appreciation for Emma Willard School's mission as an independent secondary school for girls.
Preferred Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT certification
• Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., PowerBI, Power Automate)
• Experience in an educational and/or non-profit organization.
Salary $70,000 - $80,000 based on education and experience.
