Burdett Birth Center, New York

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend and holidays will be discussed upon hire, pending the time of year.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the entire childbirth process, including labor, delivery, immediate recovery, and postpartum care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring maternal and fetal well-being
• Administering medications
• Coaching patients through labor
• Assisting during delivery
• Educating families on infant care

The RN should be comfortable in the operating room setting and act as the baby RN. The facility follows an LDRP model with a special care nursery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, C-EFM
• Registered Nurse Licensure
