Responsibilities:
St. Peters Health Partners, MHU is looking for Geropsych Nurses to meet our specialized patient's needs,
We are a 26 bed Inpatient Adult Psych unit caring for the stabilization of acute symptoms of the psychiatrically impaired population. During the course of admission, we address acute psychiatric intervention and facilitate discharge planning to facilitate safe transitions to the next level of care or return to the community. The patients we serve frequently have comorbid medical and/or substance use illnesses.
We are supported by an interdisciplinary team comprised of psychiatrists, NPP, clinicians, nurses and patient care technicians. We also work collaboratively with a covering Medical Group and all specialties are available to us by consult.

What you will need:
* A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
* Registered Nurses must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care
* The RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written
* 1 year of RN experience is preferred
