POSITION:
The Northeast Region Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for ensuring direct patient care is evidence-based and aligns with Simpli Fed's maternal health program requirements. The provider will assess and sign breast pump prescriptions for Simpli Fed patients.
ROLE:
The role of the Clinical Provider (NP) is expected to uphold the highest standards of care for the company and its patients, including assessment and signing of breast pump prescriptions and professional service consultations with patients via telehealth.
VENUE:
This role works full time remotely using Simpli Fed approved devices.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Simpli Fed Clinical Provider (NP) will assess and sign breast pump prescriptions and may conduct professional services consultations with patients via telehealth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in clinical field (Nurse Practitioner)
- Professional licensure in respective clinical field (Nurse Practitioner), in good standing with the governing board.
- Holds active medical licensure in good standing with the relevant governing board(s) across the Southeast Region in the following U.S. states:
- Connecticut
- Delaware
- Maine
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- New Hampshire
- New York
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- Vermont
- Active MMIS (State Medicaid) Credentials in all states, preferred.
- Professional certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), in good standing with the governing board, preferred.
- 3 years of direct clinical experience in hospital, clinic, or other healthcare setting.
- Interest in maternal health and improving outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions aligned with Simpli Fed’s policies.
- Strong active listening skills and sound judgment.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, as well as strong charting skills.
- Knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare quality and compliance standards, EHR data management, clinical documentation, HIPAA, and related regulations.
POSITION SPECIFICS:
- Simpli Fed Providers will communicate with patients via the company's electronic medical record system and virtual video platform.
- Communications should focus on clinical relevance and empower patient health literacy and evidence-based decisions.
- Review patient’s intake forms and complete breast pump prescriptions.

- Successfully complete background check.
- Maintain compliance with Simpli Fed’s policies and prevailing Federal security and privacy regulations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed virtually. Comfortable use of remote productivity communication tools is required.
TIME COMMITMENT:
- Up to 10-20 hours per week
COMPENSATION:
- Market Competitive Compensation: $50/hr
