** Nurse Manager
** to lead our  
** Mental Health Unit (MHU)** . As a key member of the Behavioral Health Leadership Team, you will oversee the daily operations, quality outcomes, staff development, and regulatory compliance of the unit while fostering a culture of patient-centered care and clinical excellence.

This leadership role is ideal for an RN with behavioral health and management experience who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and empowering nursing teams.

** What You'll Do*
* + Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Mental Health Unit.

+ Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care.

+ Manage staffing, scheduling, employee engagement, performance management, and professional development.

+ Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain nursing and support staff.

+ Drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical outcomes.

+ Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards.

+ Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and senior leadership to support patient care goals.

+ Develop departmental plans, manage resources, and support strategic organizational priorities.

** Qualifications*
* ** Required*
* + Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or eligibility to obtain licensure.

+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

+ Progressive nursing leadership or supervisory experience.

+ Strong communication, team-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

** Preferred*
* + Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).

+ Behavioral Health, Psychiatric Nursing, or Mental Health Unit leadership experience.

+ Previous experience managing inpatient clinical operations.

+ Relevant leadership certifications and specialty credentials.

Compensation

Pay Range: $50.85 - $76.30 per hour equivalent

Compensation is based on experience, education, skills, and qualifications. As an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), pay will be provided as a salary equivalent within the stated range. Compensation may vary based on experience and internal equity considerations.
