Security Officer - Clifton Park, NY

We are currently building a candidate pool for potential upcoming Security Officer openings that may become available as business needs evolve. These opportunities may arise on all shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd; full-time or part-time) in Clifton Park, NY. Once assigned, these positions offer set schedules, providing consistency and stability for the right candidates, with a pay rate of $17.50 an hour, but increases to $18.00 after six months of employment.

Reliable transportation is required as public transit may not align with shift hours. The available positions will also require a valid NYS Driver's License, and applicants must be able to meet the Securitas Safe Drive program requirements as they will be utilizing a client vehicle for patrols. CPR training will be provided if candidate does not have current certification. • Control access to the facility and monitor vehicle drop-offs and pickups.
• Sit in the guard shack to oversee and manage the secure entry and exit of trucks.
• Conduct driving patrols throughout the property (Safe-Drive certification required).
• Log all transactions and activities both on paper and in computer systems.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and ensure site policies are strictly followed.
• Write clear, professional reports on incidents and daily activities.
• Handle interactions with visitors and staff, including managing difficult situations.
• Perform a large portion of duties outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Operate security-related technology and systems. ________________________________________ What We’re Looking For
• Valid driver’s license (must be able to pass Safe-Drive certification).
• High School Diploma or Equivalency required
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to enforce site rules firmly and professionally.
• Excellent written communication skills for report writing.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Able to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or confrontational situations.
• Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods.
