Cool Sys is seeking a skilled Journeyman Refrigeration Technician to support our HVAC Wholesale customers with installation, start-up, service, and maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. In this hands-on field role, you'll diagnose and repair rack systems, walk-ins, and related HVAC-R equipment while prioritizing safety, uptime, and energy efficiency. You'll work closely with customers and teammates in a collaborative, safety-first culture that values integrity, technical excellence, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
- Install, start up, and service commercial refrigeration systems for HVAC wholesale and retail customers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues; perform timely, high-quality repairs
- Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and system performance checks
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and OEM documentation to plan work
- Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service software
- Follow all Cool
- Sys safety procedures, codes, and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure uptime and reliability
- Provide on-site customer support and communicate status and repair options
Required Skills
- Commercial refrigeration systems
- Rack systems and walk-in coolers
- HVAC-R troubleshooting and repair
- Brazing, soldering, and piping
- Reading blueprints and schematics
- Electrical and controls diagnostics
- EPA 608 refrigerant handling
- Preventive and predictive maintenance
- Use of HVAC-R diagnostic tools
- CMMS/service ticket documentation
