Job Information:

• Student:
  Individual class for a child age 5-years-old
• Availability:
  Weekdays from 3pm to 6pm

• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson Frequency: 2x/3x week
• Lesson Duration: 1h
• Current English level:
  Beginner
• Native and other spoken languages:
  Portuguese
• Student's language needs and goals:
  He needs to learn the basics for everyday life, as his school English lessons have focused mostly on isolated vocabulary like animals and colors rather than building real phrases. He needs support with practical communication such as asking for help, saying he needs to use the restroom, or expressing that he is hungry. He enjoys learning through games, which helps him stay engaged, and he would benefit from developing simple conversational skills with native speakers, understanding how school works in the new country, and learning basic safety and emergency language to feel more confident and independent.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students' progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• To have a degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field
• To have a minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience
