Micropower is an international company headquartered in Växjö, Sweden. With strong in-house expertise, we develop and produce efficient, intelligent lithium-ion batteries, charging systems, and power converters. We operate in Sweden, the USA, Germany, Finland, Italy.
What you'll doAs an Electrical Engineer you will act as the technical bridge between customers and internal engineering and production teams, supporting the integration of lithium-ion battery systems into applications such as Construction, Material Handling, and AGVs. You will provide hands‑on testing, validation, and troubleshooting while translating customer requirements into clear engineering specifications.
You will collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize product performance and ensure smooth implementation. You will also develop and maintain technical documentation, including data sheets, manuals, and integration guides. In this role, you will deliver technical presentations and training, contribute to failure analysis, and stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in battery technology, power systems, or related industries.
- Solid understanding of physics, electrical design principles, and AC/DC electricity.
- Familiarity with, or strong interest in, three phase power systems up to 600 VAC and DC power systems up to 120 VDC.
- Comfortable using electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters, current probes, and oscilloscopes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Swedish is a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10%‑20% max to support our global customer base.
- Experience with automotive or industrial battery applications.
- Familiarity with ISO, UL, and other relevant safety standards.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware integration.
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
- Technical writing experience.

This is a fully in‑office position based in Troy, Ohio.
