Principal Supplier Quality Specialist – Troy, OH (Collins Aerospace)

• Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 per year (based on experience and qualifications).

• Analyze and recommend implementation of supplier assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes.
• Coordinate containment activities and involve the appropriate commodity or central quality representative, including SAP, iQMS, Epicor, etc., and support Systems QN information.
• Prepare and interpret CAB details for presentation to plants/sites and coordinate implementation of action items/deliverables with the associate commodity or central quality representative.
• Ensure escape data integrity and validate QN responsibility.
• Assist in prioritization and escalation of FAIs and participate in tier meetings and Quality Clinics.
• Provide onsite assistance for 2nd and 3rd‑party audits, ensuring follow‑ups are conducted and actions assigned are closed.
• Assist on Risk Release and Waiver requests as applicable.
• Support review of non‑fault found items and assist with their disposition.
• Facilitate disposition of supplier requests for process approval/changes to Flight Safety or Frozen Processes to the respective Business Unit.
• Travel will be less than 10%.

• Typically requires a university degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience in an aerospace/manufacturing quality environment.
• ASQ CQE preferred.
• Experience with 2D/3D modeling software and reading blueprints.
• Working knowledge of Process Flow Diagramming, PFMEA, and Control Plans per SAE J J1739 for Advanced Product Quality Planning; an asset.
• Competent in Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and Gauging & R&R) and SPC desired.
• Experience with SAP, ETQ, Net Inspect.
