Hire Up is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer for a position supporting engineering, design, and process development initiatives within a high-performing manufacturing environment. This individual will play a critical role in designing and improving pressure vessels, hydraulic systems, and custom mechanical equipment used in industrial and energy applications.

Onsite Pay DOE- $100k+

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of engineering experience within Oil & Gas, Construction, or related industries
  • Demonstrated experience in ASME pressure vessel design and related certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (advanced degree or equivalent experience considered)
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively across teams and with customers
  • Familiar with DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) principles
  • SAP experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Proficient in 3D modeling software (Solid Works strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of ASME pressure vessel design codes (Section VIII, B16.5, B31.1, B31.3, B31.8)
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, actuators, and pumps
Job Duties
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain drawings, models, and engineering documentation to support product development and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Oversee design verification and testing activities, analyze data, and document results to confirm design intent and ensure reliability.
  • Partner closely with operations, quality, and assembly teams to resolve issues, improve manufacturing outcomes, and drive process consistency.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance existing designs and streamline production processes through continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Lead or support interdisciplinary project teams, ensuring deliverables align with timelines, quality expectations, and sales-driven production goals.
  • Apply advanced engineering methods such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA/FEM), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) to validate and enhance product performance.
  • Create innovative product designs that align with customer functionality, manufacturing processes, and cost efficiency goals.
  • Translate complex requirements into clear, feasible engineering solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the organization and clients, ensuring project requirements are accurately interpreted and delivered.
