Purchasing Specialist (EX2)
The Purchasing Specialist (EX2) position within Recycling & Spec Control supports the overall mission and goals of American Honda by supporting activities that impact customer (dealer) satisfaction, regulatory compliance, profitability, and resource circularity. This position will either have a lead or supporting role in the key areas of recycling, batteries, cores, forecasting and ordering, third party management, audits, LET flashing, KPI tracking, and projects.
KeyAccountabilities
- Battery Support – Refresh, shipping, regulatory, stabilization, & sourcing
- Resource Circularity / Recycling – Support BP projects, department initiatives
- Core Management – Inventory, distribution, and maintenance core charges
- Forecast & Ordering Support – BEV battery, hybrid battery, ATR, & small core
- Third Party Support – Interaction with third party providers for goods and services
- Audit Support – IN dealer system document accuracy & department SOP accuracy
- LET Support – Part flashing, LET maintenance, & database support with Japan
- KPI Tracking – Tracking of data, root cause & countermeasure activities
- Project Support – Lead or support business plan or special projects for the department
- BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain Management (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum Experience
- Four to six years of experience in a procurement capacity (preferably in manufacturing environment)
- Procurement Knowledge
- Forecasting Experience (preferably automotive service parts)
- Negotiating
- Planning/Organizing
- Communication and Presentation Skills
- Microsoft Office
