Design Manager

• Lead collaboration with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Manage and coordinate design and construction documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Oversee design efforts for remodels, rehabilitations, and ground-up construction projects.
• Ensure project schedules are developed, monitored, and maintained throughout the design lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits as needed for architectural surveys and construction administration.
• Direct the creation and review of construction drawings, ensuring adherence to company design standards and guidelines.
• Lead the permitting process by coordinating with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee multidisciplinary coordination (civil, structural, MEP, landscaping, environmental, etc.) to ensure integrated and compliant design solutions.
• Provide leadership in selecting and specifying building materials appropriate for each project.
• Serve as a technical and strategic resource to team members, mentoring staff and supporting professional development.
• Lead and continuously improve the design-build process, identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality enhancements.
• Develop and manage design budgets, proposals, and cost tracking processes.
• Oversee tracking of design time and consultant costs throughout project duration.
• Review and approve design-related change orders.
• Ensure completion of all design-related closeout documentation and procedures.
• Manage design consultants to meet expectations for cost, quality, and schedule.
• Support business development efforts, including project pursuits and client proposals.
• Provide leadership and oversight during pre-construction to ensure design readiness and alignment with project goals.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
• In-depth knowledge of design and construction documentation processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating or design-related software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, ore related field
• Experience managing design teams and coordinating with external consultants
