Job Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Parts Room Person to maintain inventory accuracy through monitoring and resolving CMMS inventory transactional activities, utilize cycle counting for miscellaneous inventory transactions, and investigate inventory discrepancies to improve accuracy.
Responsibilities- Solving issues with maintenance spare parts.
- Working closely with Plant Purchasing, Receiving, and Help Desk to resolve inventory transaction variances.
- Ability to work within a CMMS system.
- Collaborating with Corporate A/P, Plant Purchasing, Receiving, and suppliers to resolve receiving vs. A/P‑PO matching variances.
- Assisting with physical inventories.
- Completing monthly account reconciliations.
- Coordinating and investigating all cycle counts.
- Investigating and correcting negative transfers.
- Rebuilding small hand tools – demonstrating mechanical aptitude.
- Recommending solutions to improve inventory accuracy based on investigative findings; participating in or leading related projects.
- Facilitating receiving parts and inspecting them to the original order to ensure correctness.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 2‑4 years in a manufacturing environment. Experience in materials and/or receiving is a plus. A good understanding of the material process flow is required. Must be able to manage small to medium‑sized projects and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in mathematical calculation is required. Proficiency in Oracle and CMMS is a plus. Good mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic spare parts programs.
