Salary Range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD
- Work with production control to create a week‑by‑week schedule and assign operators accordingly.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers and Material Engineers to improve processes within the cell, enhancing efficiency and eliminating rework/scrap.
- Coordinate with 1st and 3rd shift supervisors to align priorities and meet daily and weekly production needs.
- Establish recovery plans in advance to recover daily or weekly misses before they impact the monthly or quarterly schedule.
- Roll up and consolidate cell results, acting as the control tower owner and communicating overall performance.
- Implement robust root‑cause analysis and corrective actions (DAISE) for major monthly misses (red metrics) at the cell control tower level.
- Celebrate notable achievements when cells perform exceptionally.
- Execute Macro Plan activities throughout the year, including support of four annual Lean Leadership Weeks.
- Communicate, train, guide, and counsel hourly associates to support continuous improvement strategies (5S, Flow, visual management, SWIP management, Line Back Logistics, product/process family definition).
- Direct operator activities, including training, performance appraisals, discipline, safety, communications, and opportunity resolution.
- Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with CORE/CI to support the site transformation journey and align cells through product/process family alignment.
- Implement JIT/JIS materials management philosophy and operate daily according to the six principles of operations management.
- Adhere to standard work, use closed‑loop systems for losses, and positively influence performance metrics such as output hours, on‑time delivery, inventory (WIP), lead time, productivity, utilization, OEE, yield, process capability, and safety.
- Lead special projects as needed.
- University degree and minimum 2years of relevant experience, including at least 1year in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on supervisory experience in operations management.
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, special processing, assembly).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Preferred: SAP knowledge, lean manufacturing experience, experience leading cross‑functional teams, direct working experience at the Troy W&B site or related products, aerospace work environment experience.
- Preferred:
Automotive production system experience (Lean, ACE, TPS, DBS).
