Overview
Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Warehouse Operator at our Troy, OH location.
Shift2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Responsibilities- Receive job assignment and any special instructions from supervisor.
- Read necessary documents to verify receipts, stockroom materials or shipment items.
- Prepare necessary documents in support of duties, including material verification slips, receivers, , and inventory slips.
- Unload or load vehicles, transport materials within shipping, receiving or receiving inspection as required.
- Receive, store, and retrieve materials from work area and transport as necessary to Shipping, Assembly, Receiving Inspection, Warehouse, Assembly or cell/department and maintain correct inventory records.
- Initiate orders for packaging supplies when required, set up SPL packaging jobs, and order packaging supplies when needed.
- Deliver materials to/from mailroom and/or Shipping and Receiving.
- Prepare items for shipment: make boxes or crates, package, count, weigh, label, paint or mark items, and complete appropriate paperwork.
- Maintain work areas and machines in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
- Attend training classes, departmental meetings and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Retrieve items from tool crib and complete forms/transactions as required.
Work Environment Requirements
- Require substantial reaching and moving while standing, twisting, stooping, and respond to sounds in the work environment.
- Lift up to 25 lbs unassisted; items over 25 lbs must be assisted.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Adhere to all EHS roles and responsibilities as stated in manufacturing instructions and EHS policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience or minimum 2 years of warehouse manufacturing experience.
- Experience reading technical documents such as routings, blueprints, engineering process specifications, and written work instructions.
