Machine Operator
Hobart Brothers, in partnership with Staffmark, is seeking reliable Machine Operators for 3rd shift manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to start or continue a career in manufacturing with a company that values its employees. You will be responsible for preparing and operating production equipment, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
- Prepare machines for production runs
- Regulate machine settings and maintain product specifications
- Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
Experience Requirements:
Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment. Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation. Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards. Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred. Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Operator.
Physical Capabilities:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the 8-hour shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 60 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
