Troy Christian Church is seeking a full‑time Associate Minister who is passionate about our mission to make disciples who make disciples. We are a growing church currently around 300 in attendance located just north of Dayton, Ohio, with a compelling vision for significant growth and relocation to a new home on the 38 acres of land we already own. Our current staff consists of a full‑time Lead Minister and Student Minister, and part‑time positions including Children’s Minister, Worship Minister and Administrative Assistant.

We are looking for a full‑time Associate Minister to champion ministry areas we believe are key to accelerating our growth:
Outreach, Growth Classes, Ministry Teams and our Discipleship Classes. The Associate Minister will also play a key role in preaching that will grow in the future based on our succession plan.

The Associate Minister is charged with ensuring that Outreach remains a primary focus of the church, reflective of God’s heart for people apart from God. They will provide vision and direction for church outreach efforts, build a team to lead outreach initiatives, and support outreach efforts across ministries.

The Associate Minister oversees the Growth Class ministry, including teachers, classes and curriculum. Responsibilities include recruitment, training and evaluation of teachers, planning class offerings, and selecting Biblically accurate and relevant curriculum aligned with the church’s strategic direction.

The Associate Minister will oversee all ministry teams that are not age or worship/tech related. They will develop leaders and teams that support the mission of "Making disciples who make disciples", recruit and train ministry team leaders, and foster a volunteer culture encouraging service based on gifts and equip.

The Associate Minister oversees orientation classes for newcomers, covering becoming a Christian, church membership, spiritual disciplines, stewardship, serving in ministry, faith sharing and discipleship. They will recruit and develop teaching partners and ensure these classes become part of TCC culture and expected orientation.

The Associate Minister will partner in the preaching for Sunday morning worship services, working with the Lead Minister on planning and participation. They will begin preaching approximately 20% of the time and progressively increase that amount over time.
