Description
The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with ear, nose, and throat conditions. Knowledge of medical documentation standards including ICD-10, CPT coding, and HIPAA compliance is required. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a variety of ENT‑related conditions in both outpatient and procedural settings. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on patient-centered care and innovative treatment modalities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat common ENT conditions such as sinusitis, allergies, ear infections, hearing issues, and throat disorders
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., imaging, labs, audiology reports)
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies
- Perform in-office procedures as appropriate (e.g., nasal endoscopy, cerumen removal, minor procedures)
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care
- Collaborate with ENT physicians on complex cases and surgical planning
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the EMR system
- Participate in follow-up care and ongoing patient management
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, AGNP)
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Ohio
- DEA license and prescriptive authority required
- Previous experience in ENT, family practice, urgent care, or related specialty preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
