Overview
This position reports to the Director of National Accounts. The incumbent will plan, organize, direct and control activities to achieve total revenue and profit goals with assigned Key National Accounts. The role includes interfacing with senior‑level internal and external management, ITW Food Equipment Group product development and service personnel, and key account contacts, as well as the field service organization. The incumbent directs field sales engagements, manages accounts, and develops end‑user relationships.
Additionally, the person will coach, mentor, and develop some assigned National Account Managers.
- Develop annual strategic plans and complete account profiles on all assigned active accounts.
- Develop strategies to protect existing account revenue and drive organic revenue and margin growth.
- Manage accounts, contacts, opportunities, and other critical information in CRM consistently and timely.
- Handle escalation management, including evenings and weekends.
- Gather analytic information to support accounts, sales, ROI, and other initiatives.
- Update leadership consistently on account status and changes that could impact relationships, revenue, or probability.
- Coordinate with National Accounts Customer Care to deliver positive customer satisfaction.
- Partner closely with equipment sales National Account Manager(s), attend each other’s meetings/QBRs, and plan to support shared initiatives.
- Coordinate all key account service sales activity for all assigned accounts.
- Implement pricing strategies, quotes, and action plans to maintain proper margins per overall service business strategy.
- Conduct service sales presentations that address issues, promote initiatives, and drive incremental service contract revenue.
- Develop specific solutions to win new business and maintain service contract renewals through customized programs that enhance profitability.
- Represent Hobart Service on projects, including managing and attending customer and industry trade shows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related fields.
- 3+ years extensive sales experience.
- Requires up to 30% travel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and project‑management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Self‑motivated and ability to adapt to change.
- Strong customer orientation.
- National account sales experience.
- Food service / food retail experience.
- Management experience.
A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or related field; with at least 5 years extensive sales experience is required.
Job Specific Knowledge- Data analysis skills.
- Understanding of the consultative sales process.
- Experience building value‑based proposals.
- Experience presenting at the C‑Level.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, D365, CRM systems.
- Self‑motivated.
- Strong customer orientation.
No physical demands.
Working ConditionsThis position requires 30% travel.
Hours of Work- Typically 8–5.
- After hours and weekend account management as needed.
The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
