Utility Person​/Dredge Operator

Martin Marietta is hiring a Dredge Operator to be responsible for the safe operation of a dredge at our Troy Gravel operation.

• Responsible for operating a variety of equipment utilized in dredge mining
• Perform daily inspection of vehicle and work area
• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on plant and mobile equipment
• Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation
• Read and understand dredge pressure, vacuum, and flow gauges
• Experience with watercraft, john boats, cables and pipeline & diesel engines.

This job operates 100% of the time in a surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

• This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.

• High School degree
• 1+ year of related experience
• Valid US driver's license
