Driver-Non CDL Delivery

Responsible for loading, transporting and delivering materials to customer sites. Adheres to driver safety/compliance regulations, delivers un-damaged goods on schedule, and provides professional service to customers. Non-CDL drivers will operate vehicles weighing 10,001–26,000 pounds.

• Loads and secures product, materials or supplies inside the delivery vehicle.
• Delivers customer orders to the specified delivery site and unloads materials safely and accurately; protects the product and customer property.
• Verifies order details and maintains logs of delivery duties, including amounts or weights of items, mileage and delivery locations. Checks items against invoice for accuracy.
• Acts as a customer service liaison between BFS and the site customer; handles customer concerns and helps resolve issues as they arise.
• Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles; performs routine safety checks to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
• Uses a handheld device (except while driving) to ensure DVIR and HOS compliance.
• Maintains hours of service logs and pre/post-trip inspection procedures.
• May perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operates a forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment to load and unload materials to designated areas.
• Observes all safety procedures to prevent injury to self or others; attends periodic safety meetings; may recommend safety improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and valid driver s license. Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials and delivery equipment, is desirable.
• Valid driver s license
• Pass MVR report
• Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of request
• Have fewer than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to read and speak English

• Work is performed in a production environment with temperature variations, potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, elevated noise levels and dust.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently; may occasionally lift and carry up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• May perform tasks involving climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling.
• Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (enter/exit cab, rotate torso for visibility, operate controls, etc.).
