Job SummaryThe Staff Accountant is responsible for various financial tasks utilizing AP, Net Suite, Salesforce, Excel, and other related systems for processing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash application, and general ledger transactions accurately and timely. Reconciling general ledger accounts and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Essential Functions- Process and reconcile AR customer and program accounts, customer invoicing, payment applications, and account reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable PO and Non-PO invoices accurately and timely using the accounts payable software.
- Research and reconcile vendor statements to AP transaction records.
- Provide customer service to internal customers and vendors.
- Record accounting transactions for subsidiary corporations.
- Prepare and process general ledger journals for month end closing.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules for month‑end closing.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies found during the reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards to safeguard company assets.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as requested.
- Maintain a team‑player mentality and complete other duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with accounting software such as Net Suite.
- Excellent diligence and ability to meet targeted deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Annual Salary $70,000 - $90,000.
- Potential up to 10% discretionary annual bonus.
