The Instructional Aide will support children and adults with developmental disabilities cent’s Special Needs Services (SVSNS), a trusted provider for over 60 years.

• Assists with the planning and implementation of school activities for children.

• Creates opportunities for enhancing student skills. Plans and implements activities consistent with student abilities, interests and educational plans.
• Assists with school inclusion, including alternate school settings, curriculum development, workshops/life skills, speech and language, art, music, and adaptive physical education.
• Provides staff in‑services.
• Maintains data and other records according to protocol.
• Acts as substitute in absence of the teacher.
• Encourages student independence in communication, decision making and other activities.
• Displays enthusiasm and appropriate energy to maintain student motivation, cooperation, and participation.
• Participates in arrival and dismissal practices.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 years of experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
