What you’ll do- Lead pilot plant operations and project ownership, including facilities, equipment, and budget management, while developing and executing process learning plans using data analysis and sound engineering practices to demonstrate proof of principle.
- Drive process design for new product launches, applying pilot plant learnings to enable “right‑first‑time” scale‑up across internal and external manufacturing sites in North America.
- Apply strong troubleshooting, process control, and process improvement skills to assess technical feasibility and optimize operations.
- Influence a broad range of Henkel Consumer Goods products by maintaining best‑in‑class pilot plant operations and developing multiple product forms for technical and consumer testing—ultimately defining requirements for full‑scale production equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related Science/Engineering field.
- Ability to design experimental test protocols and lead trials in the pilot plant and at select North American production sites.
- Mechanically adept, with hands‑on experience in equipment setup and maintenance, chemical and waste management, and producing product batches for consumer studies, sales samples, and OTC stability testing.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to write clear technical reports and deliver compelling presentations.
- General knowledge of chemical unit operations and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Self‑starter with strong time‑management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Comfortable working with machinery in a pilot plant environment.

The salary for this role is $90,000.00 - $98,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
