Senior Packaging Engineer; UCOM

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the development of packaging and ensures Bill of Materials & packaging instructions are accurate and correct and implements Engineering Changes
• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, Returns On Investments (ROIs)
• Partner with Launch Managers, Facility Tooling, and Equipment Suppliers to develop and build assembly fixtures, assembly aids, or other molding tools
• Interfaces with suppliers as needed on processes, productivity, and product improvements.
• Running Line Trials
• Represent packaging in cross-functional team meetings
• Provide technical support to production lines
• Develop and update preventative maintenance of molds and machines while working in conjunction with mold, and machine suppliers

• Candidates must have a AS/BS/MS in Packaging or related science field and 5 plus years of experience in either or all of Injection Molding, Extrusion Blow Molding, and Thermoforming
• Advanced technical knowledge of: injection molding, extrusion, and Thermoforming is highly desired
• Engineer must be able to support and/or manage multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
