Technical Publications Associate Manager

The Technical Publications Associate Manager position is within the Global Sustainment Technical Publications Center of Excellence (COE) and is responsible for managing day-to-day technical publications activity supporting the 53K King Stallion Heavy Lift Helicopter program, for the Sikorsky Line of Business (LOB). The scope of this support consists of development of new technical manuals, multi-year sustainment, modifications, organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance development.

Additionally, this position will manage 53K international variant publications projects. Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to requirements.

Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

  • Experienced in planning and leading Publications project efforts supporting US Military, Domestic, and International customer aircraft.
  • Subject matter expertise focusing on Aviation Maintenance, Parts breakdown manuals, and Interactive Media, specifically use of Interactive Electronic Tech Manuals (IETMs).
  • Ability to direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and completing publications projects within assigned area of responsibility.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Publications project leadership experience or logistics/sustainment related equivalent, experience in a rotary wing (or equivalent aviation field) systems maintenance environment.
  • Experience managing project control accounts, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Experience in Earned Value Management.
  • Candidate must be proficient in communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and relevant factors to inform decision making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Bachelor level degree in a related field or equivalent training/experience.

Pay Information:
