The Holter Technician has the knowledge and ability to assist the Holter department in the delivery of care through the proficient monitoring of the patient's cardiac rhythm. This is performed always showing sensitivity toward individual needs. Accepts responsibility for individual job requirements and performance, able to contribute to effective department operations.

  • 12.Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned department. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
  • 13.May assist and/or perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed.
Qualifications

EDUCATION

High School diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE

EKG interpretation knowledge and Health related career experience are required. A Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) or Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) certification is preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold a CRAT or CCT certification will be required to obtain either of these certifications within 1 year of commencing employment.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Ability to read, write, and understand the English language; ability to perform basic mathematics; ability to recall multiple cardiac rhythm abnormalities and convey these to the department lead technician…
