Candidates must have a CT State License from the Department of Health as a Registered Nurse. Candidates with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and experience working in school situations are preferred.
ResponsibilitiesServe as a nurse at a part‑time magnet school for the performing arts. The nurse provides health services to students at the Regional Center for the Arts (RCA), a school of 235 students. The school nurse dispenses medications, assesses student illness, provides first aid and may also administer medications and provide care and general first aid and illness screenings. In addition, the nurse at RCA helps with general procedures such as arrival and dismissal.
