Required Education

    Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • 1-3 years of laboratory experience
  • Ability to understand and perform standard laboratory techniques
  • Basic computer skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals and laboratory equipment
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and safe laboratory practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Formulation experience in consumer-packaged goods

    Associate Scientist Overview
  • The Associate Scientist works closely with scientists and senior scientists to support the development and evaluation of product formulations
  • This role is responsible for planning and conducting laboratory assignments, measuring physical properties, validating product performance, and analyzing experimental results
  • The individual interprets data, develops preliminary conclusions, and recommends next steps to support development objectives
  • The Associate Scientist contributes to cross-functional project teams and supports the advancement of product development activities through laboratory testing and process improvements
  • The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to laboratory safety and compliance standards
  • The Associate Scientist is expected to maintain accurate laboratory documentation and support inventory and workspace management activities

    Job Duties
  • Execute experimental designs to optimize prototypes and achieve targeted performance metrics
  • Record detailed observations and experimental data in laboratory notebooks and maintain accurate documentation
  • Analyze results and present preliminary conclusions to management
  • Assist in solving technical problems through the development or modification of testing procedures
  • Perform standard and non-standard chemical, physical, and application testing to evaluate product composition and performance
  • Maintain inventories of raw materials and laboratory supplies
  • Ensure laboratory work spaces and equipment remain clean, organized, and in safe operating condition
  • Follow safe work practices when handling hazardous chemicals and laboratory equipment
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate health, safety, and environmental regulations
