Position: Full-Time Mechanic Education Centre
Step into a full-time Mechanic position with the Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education in Truro, Nova Scotia, serving local schools. This role is pivotal in ensuring school vehicle safety and maintenance.

We are seeking a Licensed Mechanic with three years of experience, ideally in educational or commercial environments. You must possess or be willing to obtain a Nova Scotia Truck and Transport Mechanic Certificate. A commitment to safety training and the ability to work without supervision are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on school bus fleets

• Implement routine maintenance schedules for effective service

• Participate in safety training programs and ensure compliance

• Work independently while ensuring timely service delivery

• Keep precise maintenance records and reports

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 Nova Scotia Driver’s License or willingness to pursue

• Minimum Grade 12 High School Graduation Certificate

• At least three years of relevant mechanic experience

• Completion of safety and regulatory training

• Ability to utilize computer systems for maintenance tracking
