Position: Full-Time Maintenance Person
Join the Northern District team as a full-time Maintenance Person in Truro, Nova Scotia. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform varied tasks including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.

The Maintenance Person plays a vital role in ensuring the upkeep of properties managed by the Nova Scotia Provincial Housing Agency. With five years of relevant experience and a strong background in residential building technology, you will handle installations, renovations, and preventative maintenance. Familiarity with safety standards and operational protocols is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain walks, driveways, and parking areas

• Repair foundation, including crack and mortar installations

• Install and repair carpentry components like doors and windows

• Maintain sanitary drainage and water systems

• Respond to emergency maintenance calls after hours

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent required

• Five years' experience in maintenance or related field

• Valid Nova Scotia driver's license essential

• Certifications in Emergency First Aid and WHMIS required

• Knowledge of National Building Code preferred
