As an Electrical Technician, you'll be part of the maintenance team responsible for keeping our manufacturing equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently.

This isn't a role where every day looks the same. You'll troubleshoot equipment issues, diagnose electrical and control-system faults, complete preventative maintenance, support equipment upgrades and installations, and help identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.

You’ll work with a range of industrial electrical technologies, including PLCs, motor drives, electrical controls, instrumentation, analog and digital components, and industrial electrical systems.

You’ll also work alongside other skilled tradespeople, sharing knowledge and contributing to a strong standard of safety and workmanship across the plant.

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and electronic equipment
• Diagnose faults in electrical circuits, controls, PLCs, drives and related equipment
• Respond to electrical service calls and equipment issues on the production floor
• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance
• Repair, replace, modify and install electrical components and systems
• Test and calibrate electrical instruments and equipment
• Support equipment installations, rebuilds, modifications and upgrades
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
• Use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment to identify problems and verify repairs
• Identify required parts, tools and materials
• Document completed work and equipment history in our computerized maintenance system
• Recommend improvements or upgrades when opportunities to improve equipment performance or reliability are identified
• Complete work in accordance with applicable electrical codes, CSA standards and company safety requirements

We're looking for someone with strong electrical fundamentals, good troubleshooting instincts and a genuine interest in industrial equipment.

• Red Seal Electrician certification with industrial experience
• Post-secondary technical or vocational training in electrical or electronics technology
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with industrial electrical equipment and controls
• Knowledge of PLCs, motor drives and control systems
• Experience working with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship
• The ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
