Protection & Control Engineer

Our client, a leader in the electric utility and power systems industry, is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to join their team. As a Protection & Control Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering/Power Systems department supporting the design, development, testing, and commissioning of critical protection and control systems for substations and power infrastructure.

Protection & Control Engineer (P&C Engineer)

$90,000 – $110,000

Overtime paid at time and a half.

• Design protection and control systems for substation and utility projects.
• Prepare and review electrical diagrams, schematics, relay logic, and control house drawings.
• Develop relay settings, protection schemes, and conduct coordination studies.
• Support SCADA and communication integration with protection systems.
• Coordinate with technicians, designers, and project managers throughout project phases, including testing and commissioning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in protection and control engineering or substation design.
• Knowledge of substation protection schemes, relay applications, and control circuit design.
• Ability to interpret detailed electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with protective relays, SCADA systems, and substation automation concepts.
