Leads manufacturing engineering projects that improve safety, productivity, and process performance. This role is responsible for both enhancing existing equipment and production processes and introducing new machinery or technologies when needed. A key responsibility is identifying and resolving production bottlenecks through engineering-driven process and design improvements.
Shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Support production through the development, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing tooling, processes, and equipment.
- Lead and coordinate manufacturing engineering projects, including initiating, investigating, developing, designing, and executing solutions through cross-functional teams.
- Provide mechanical engineering support for manufacturing and capital projects. Maintain accurate project documentation and technical records using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (B. S.) from four-year College or university.
Three to five years related engineering and project management experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend common scientific and technical journals, including mechanical drawings and schematics related to complex mechanical systems. Ability to effectively present information to both top management and the hourly supervisor.
Ability to identify and solve technical and operational problems by gathering and analyzing data, evaluating alternatives, and making sound decisions. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, diagrams, and mathematical data to support manufacturing processes and projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems. Working knowledge of CAD software is required, with experience creating and modifying engineering drawings and models in Autodesk Inventor preferred.
Minimal travel may be required for certain projects and training. Continuing education classes for improvement of computer skills.
