Controller, Plant

Position Summary

Responsible for managing all financial, accounting processes and internal controls, overseeing the accounting and financial activities within the business, and serving as a trusted business partner who delivers results that improve the organization.

• Work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel, from hourly employees to senior management.
• Manage and develop a team focused on business partnering, advisory, continuous improvement efforts, and data‑driven analysis/decision making.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements, analysis, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis of actual performance results.
• Maintain fiscal responsibility and ensure the establishment and administration of adequate internal controls within the organization.
• Help drive profitable decision‑making and maximize return on assets by preparing and analyzing financial data along with operational metrics.
• Stay closely connected with the operations of the business and operators, providing financial analysis and business insights to aid decision‑making.
• Present analysis findings to various leaders in the business.
• Maintain financial staff job results through coaching, counseling, and development; plan, monitor, and appraise job results.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience, preferably at a manufacturing company.
• Oracle R12 or Infor Cloudsuite experience preferred.

• General understanding of the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Work independently with little or no oversight.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office suite and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
• Experience with big data modeling, financial modeling, and automation.

Office environment. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Vision required to validate and enter data on computer.
