General Summary
The Equipment Specialist position will involve taking information on existing accounts as well as newly acquired accounts and maximizing their equipment efficiency. The position will require troubleshooting existing installs and coaching vendors through both repairs and new installs of equipment. The position will also be responsible for equipment installations and the life cycle of the equipment at those accounts. This position will drive the efficiency of the group by ensuring timely installs/repairs on equipment at customer jobsites.
Primary Responsibilities And Duties- Set up all new equipment units in the system, either through MOP staff or vendors.
- Coach vendors on what is expected from them on new installs and repairs, including actual work as well as paperwork flow.
- Schedule vendors for repairs of monitors/equipment causing efficiency issues and needing service.
- Take calls from vendors on location for support, assuring accurate installs at each location.
- Issue PO to vendors for service calls of problem locations.
- Approve invoices after vendors have made repairs at service call locations and send to Accounts Payable upon completion.
- Ensure vendors have the correct equipment at each location.
- Report on KPIs associated with customer loaned equipment.
- Reporting of vendor performance.
- Handle Return Merchandise Authorizations of leased equipment.
- Recommend corrective action as equipment issues are discovered.
- Ensure that all tasks related to equipment are completed accurately and timely in ERP system.
- Responsible for completion of special projects or assignment of other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma required. College courses preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a distribution-related activity.
- General knowledge of lubricant and fuel terminology.
- Proven experience with monitor functionality, installation, setup and abilities preferred.
- Industrial equipment and/or mechanical familiarity.
- Ability to improve delivery activities and drive for reliability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion while managing 7 day/week operations.
- Capable of multi-tasking and professionally interacting with others in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to use good judgment, initiative, and make good decisions with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of inventory management and job costing.
- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.; previous sophisticated ERP system experience preferred.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency a plus.
- Must have strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to effectively present information, conduct training, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to make independent fact-based decisions in a quick and responsive manner with little to no supervision.
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have successfully demonstrated the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude during all internal and external customer interactions.
- Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking, problem solving, and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive work environment and culture while meeting customer expectations.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and achieve department objectives.

The work of this position is performed in a controlled office environment. This position requires the ability to work under pressure and communicate with a diverse population including other employees, customers, vendors, etc. This position also requires prolonged periods of sitting in a regular seated position as well as the use of general office equipment including phones, printers, computers (mouse, keyboard, etc.).
